Puppy Mills

Where ARE Puppy Mills?

Most puppy mills are located in mid west states like Ohio, Missouri, and Pennsylvania where the Amish & Mennonite communities are located. A lot of puppy mills advertise their puppies on puppy search engines like Puppy Finder, Green Field Puppies, and Keystone Puppies. Puppy postings can be professional looking, but this is just another way of hiding the real truth.

Why are they Bad?

Puppy mills are purely profit driven and have no concern for the welfare of the breed. They have too many breeding dogs and often market more than one breed. They consider dogs as livestock & keep them in barns. Their puppies are often sickly and underweight, going home with parasite infestations and untreated medical conditions such as tumors, birthing complications, respiratory infections, flea infestations, heartworms, viruses, and digestive problems.

will you Take a Stand?

By adopting from us you are taking a stand against puppy mills. We are a hobby breeder that sparingly breeds our dogs in order to nurture them and ensure there are loving families for their puppies. We support groups like Best Friends Animal Society & The Puppy Mill Project, who actively take a stand against people who extort animals for profit.
